What is Radiesse?
[top]
Radiesse™ is an injectable filler able to reshape the facial contours and restore a more youthful appearance. Comprised of a calcium-based gel, this filler creates a scaffolding effect by encouraging and supporting new collagen growth. Radiesse™ can be used to eliminate dark hollows beneath the eyes, create cheekbones, fill deep creases, and sculpt the jawline.
How does Radiesse work?
[top]
Once injected, Radiesse™ immediately adds fullness to your face giving you a visible result at the first treatment session. Radiesse™ contains microspheres made of natural material called Calcium Hydroxylapatite in a water based gel carrier.
Who should use Radiesse treatments?
[top]
Men and women who have experienced a loss of volume in the face or those looking to bring balance to the facial features may be good candidates for Radiesse™.
Who should NOT use Radiesse treatments?
[top]
Talk to your doctor about your medical history when deciding on treatment options. You should not use Radiesse™ if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Radiesse. You should also not choose Radiesse™ if you only desire short-term results.

Are Radiesse treatments safe?
[top]
Radiesse™ is a safe procedure with few risks. Like all injectable procedures, there is always a possibility of bruising and swelling. No pre-testing is required due to Radiesse's unique synthetic product formulation and biocompatibility profile. Radiesse™ might appear on dental x-rays as it is radio-opaque, however, it should not interfere with radiological procedures because it has lower density than bone. Refer to Side Effects.
