Microdermabrasion "Power Peel" for Younger Looking Skin

Improve or eliminate superficial skin problems with Microdermabrasion.
Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical and non-invasive procedure that removes the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells to reveal younger, healthier-looking skin. Microdermabrasion treatment also encourages the production of a new layer of skin cells containing higher levels of collagen and elastin, both of which further improve your skin's appearance.
Microdermabrasion: Results on all skin types and colors...
Microdermabrasion can improve or eliminate superficial skin
problems. It works on all skin types and colors to produce subtle
changes, causing no skin color change or scarring. However,
it is not effective for deeper problems like scars, stretch
marks, keloids (an overgrowth of scar tissue at the site of
a healed skin surgery) or deep acne scars. Since microdermabrasion
is a non surgical procedure, there are none of the risks associated
with even minor surgery where anesthetics are used bleeding
occurs.
Microdermabrasion.. it's not just for your face!
Microdermabrasion techniques are used to polish and refine the skin all over
the body. Just as microdermabrasion is used on the face to diminish
the appearance of lines, wrinkles, scars, and discoloration,
it can also be used quite effectively on the entire body surface.
Patients who undergo body microdermabrasion enjoy the same benefits
of facial microdermabrasion treatments.
Preparing For Your Microdermabrasion Treatment
Microdermabrasion has almost no pre-treatment requirements
as such. No medication is required before microdermabrasion
but your doctor may ask you to stop using products that contain
aspirin. If you are a smoker, it would be better if you stopped
smoking for a week before microderm abrasion, in order to improve
the circulation of blood to the skin. If you are using Retin-A,
Renova, Differin and certain glycolic acid products on a daily
basis, stop doing so for about five days before your micro dermabrasion
appointment. You should also avoid sunbathing, using sun beds
or waxing your skin for two weeks prior to treatment. Chemical
peels, collagen injections and any other cosmetic treatments
are also not allowed for 14 days before the procedure.
What Should You Expect During the Procedure
Microdermabrasion treatments last less than an hour and are performed on an
out-patient basis. The area to be treated will be cleaned, and
then sterile micro-crystals will be used to gently exfoliate
your skin. No anesthesia is needed. Microdermabrasion machine
pressure is adjusted for your skin's needs as its hand piece
is moved across the treatment area delivering a precise stream
of crystals onto the skin's surface. The sloughed off skin cells
and the left-over crystals are then suctioned off to reveal
a fresh, vibrant skin surface.
Initial Microdermabrasion Benefits are Immediate
Usually, benefits from microdermabrasion treatments are immediately apparent. However, optimal results will not be visible until all recommended treatments have been completed. The number of treatments required typically ranges from five to twelve sessions spaced a week or two apart.
Safe Skin Rejuvenation Procedures - Minimal Risk of Side-Effects
Because Microdermabrasion is non-invasive it has a low risk of complications and is one of the safest skin rejuvenation procedures available. Some patients report redness or dry feeling in their skin after a treatment, but this is temporary. Typical care following your Microdermabrasion treatment includes the use of moisturizers and sunscreens, and avoiding sun exposure for a few days.
