Dr. Jim Turek, M.D.

Jim Turek, M.D. is known on the Grand Strand for his extensive experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, Allergy, and Office Dermatology.

Hailing as an honor graduate from the University of Michigan, he attended F. E. Herbert School of Medicine in Washington D.C. on an Air Force Scholarship. Next he received Internal Medicine at Wilford Hall AFB Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. In 1988, Dr. Turek was stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB in the ER where he received multiple clinical promotions over the next four years. After returning from the Gulf War as a decorated flight surgeon, he finished his military duties at the Aerospace Medicine Consultation Service in San Antonio, Texas.

Upon completion of his Air Force commitment, Dr. Turek moved back to the Surfside Beach area with his wife and three children for permanent residence.

Lisa Watts, Licensed Esthetician

Lisa Watts, originally from Florence, SC, is a Licensed Esthetician. She joined the DermaVogue Clinic in January, 2000. After fifteen years of business administration, Lisa attended Esthetics International in Columbia, SC, and trained under the American Institute for Permanent Make-Up. Under the guidance of Dr. Turek, Lisa has been experiencing unbelievable results with laser hair removal and skin problems for clients of all ages .

Tonya Stewart,
Licensed Esthetician

Tonya Stewart joined the Dermavogue staff in September 2004. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama. Tonya, originally from Gadsden, Alabama, worked for Clinique as a counter manager/makeup artist for nine years. She attended esthetics school in Myrtle Beach and is a Licensed Esthetician. Her goal is to turn problem skin into great skin. With assistance from Dr. Turek and the tools available At Dermavogue, she is successfully doing just that!

Maryanne Robinson,
Certified Massage and Bodywork Therapist

Maryanne Robinson joined the staff of DermaVogue in January, 2003.. She is a Nationally Certified Massage and Bodywork Therapist. Maryanne studied at the Dove Star Holistic Institute where she also did extensive courses in Reiki and has attained the Master level. She specializes in Hawaiian (LomiLomi) Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Shiatsu Stretching, and Hot Stone Therapy.

Alexandra Freeman Summers,
LPN, Aesthetics

Alexandra Freeman Summers, LPN, Aesthetics, joined the DermaVogue Clinique in North Myrtle Beach February of 2004. Alexandra also known as Lexy is from Little River, South Carolina. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina for 5 years where she worked as a surgical assistant in facial plastics and liposculpture as well as dermatology, specializing in laser aesthetics. She now works with Dr. Turek and staff to improve photodamaged skin with the newest lasers, techniques and skin care available without invasive surgery or downtime.
